Ronald McDonald House Charities
St. Louis’s three Ronald McDonald Houses serve families with seriously ill or injured children by providing a "home away from home" near area hospitals so families can be together during their children’s treatments. In addition, RMHC provides support to organizations that serve the needs of children.The Houses are designed to bring the comforts of home to families far away from their own homes with a comfortable bed, a warm meal, kitchen and laundry facilities, and toys for the kids. The Houses offer parent and family members a break from hospital waiting rooms with home-cooked meals, private bedrooms, and play areas for children. 24 hours a day, 365 days a year RMHC supports these families through support from volunteers and donors, and families often pay a small donation to support the continuation of services.
